ER collets have a wide gripping range (about 1mm) which ensures you can clamp any cutter within the collets range of clamping. They provide a fast, easy and accurate way of holding end mills, fly cutters, saw mandrels and drill bits in milling machine spindles. When used in a lathe, they hold stock more accurately and have a better grip than chucks, and thin-wall tubes can be gripped without distortion. They’re quick to set up and can be used at high speed. Our ER40 collet set includes a precision ground shank and ‘snap-in’ collets with compression nut and spanner for easy tightening. The Aluminum case makes selection easy and offers good protection during storage.
